Our approach is largely based on an understanding of what outstanding looks like and building relationships with those individuals. This has led to many long term partnerships with a wide range of clients including listed, PE backed and independent businesses.
Our sector specialisms
After five years in audit and corporate finance at Ernst & Young Bristol, followed by a further five years working in financial recruitment, current Managing Director Geoff Blackwell-Frier took the decision to set up his own recruitment firm. Driven by the desire to create a market leading search consultancy, he set about establishing a business built on a commitment to excellence, market leading information systems and incomparable service.
In 1999 Sphere Group was established, initially as a financial recruitment consultancy with its first office opening in Cheadle, Greater Manchester. This was closely followed by the addition of our Supply Chain division a year later, extending our quality led recruitment service to professionals in the supply chain and logistics industry.
Over two decades on and we have cemented our position as a premium search consultancy specialising in a number of niche products including Board & Executive, Finance & Accounting, Supply Chain & Procurement, Logistics, and Professional Services. With the establishment of our Birmingham office in 2001, followed by the London office in 2014, we now operate from three key regional bases and two satellite locations in Bristol & Leeds. This has provided us with extensive opportunities to build local and national relationships in the UK, as well as a solid platform for our growth across Europe with clients looking for exceptional quality.
Our dedication to excellence has enabled us to build long standing and strategic relationships with a wide range of organisations. We have come a long way since 1999 and we are still looking to improve and develop further. Whilst technology and communication platforms have changed significantly over this period, the basic principles of hiring talent have remained in place. Whilst fundamentally remaining the same our methods have been adapted to incorporate and take advantage of technological developments, improving our service offering to clients.
